The idea

A continuous gesture, held in brass.

Maria Velichkova developed Aster from a full-scale charcoal line, drawn without lifting her hand from the paper. Its widest curve opens the reflected view, while the lower taper gives the piece an unexpected visual balance.

If the wall stops short of Aster's 110 cm, or daylight rarely reaches it, TRACE holds a metre of wall and draws a warm line of its own.
