

The idea
A machined circle, and one line drawn by hand.
Maria Velichkova draws the TRACE line freehand at full scale, in one sitting, until it holds its own beside the machined outer circle. The drawing is engraved into the glass and the LED laid along it, so the light inherits the small deviations of the hand rather than correcting them.

How TRACE changes a room.

Installation
Needs a wall of at least 100 by 115 cm.
Fix the concealed split batten into solid blocking and have a qualified electrician connect the integrated line to a switched supply. Centre the disc on the standing eye line.
Care
Dust with a soft dry cloth and clean the bronze glass as any mirror glass. Keep moisture away from the rear edge, where the LED line and its driver sit.
