The idea

Four sides, none of them straight.

The Quad began as a rectangle Maria Velichkova refused to leave alone: each side was redrawn as a shallow curve and each corner opened, until the form held its size without the hardness of a frame. The halo runs the full perimeter, so the four curves are drawn on the wall in light.

How Quad changes a room.

Primary reflection behavior

Softens architecture

Its four soft sides answer the straight lines of a console and a doorway while the halo lifts the form clear of the plaster.

Frameless glass reads as reflection rather than object, and the halo is what gives its four curves presence.

Installation

Needs a wall of at least 90 by 120 cm.

Fix the rear batten into solid blocking with the centre at standing eye line, and have a qualified electrician connect the driver to a switched supply. Centre the form on the console below it.

Care

Dust with a soft dry cloth and clean the glass as any mirror glass. Keep moisture away from the rear edge, where the LED halo and its driver sit.

Where the wall wants a rounder form than four sides give, Pebble carries the same halo on a contour drawn from a stone.
