Care guide
Made to age, not to be replaced.
Every edition in the collection is finished by hand, and each surface asks for something different. The through-line is restraint: these materials are chosen to deepen with time, so care means protecting that process rather than reversing it.
The glass
One rule for every mirror.
Clean the glass with a soft lint-free cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner applied to the cloth, never sprayed at the mirror, so no cleaner creeps behind the frame and reaches the silvering.
No edition in the collection is profiled for a bathroom. Steam and sustained humidity reach the silvering and the frame alike, so a damp room needs the studio’s advice before a mirror is committed to it.
Care by material
Care for each surface.
Each surface is named by the edition that carries it. Orbit has a painted MDF frame; the bronze in TRACE describes the tint of its mirror glass.
Aster
Hand-patinated brass
Dust the frame only. The waxed patina is designed to deepen naturally, so never polish it back: metal polish removes the hand-applied finish rather than refreshing it.
Orbit
Sculpted MDF with a hand-applied painted finish
The frame is painted MDF. Ask the studio for the care instructions for its hand-applied finish.
Onda
Blackened steel and bevelled glass
Wipe the blackened frame with a barely damp cloth and dry it at once. Solvents and abrasive cleaners strip the blackening, which cannot be retouched at home.
TRACE
Bronze mirror glass with an integrated LED line
Dust with a soft dry cloth and clean the bronze glass as any mirror glass. Keep moisture away from the rear edge, where the LED line and its driver sit.
LITHOS
Clear mirror glass with an integrated LED halo
Clean the glass as any mirror glass, with the cleaner on the cloth rather than sprayed at the surface. Keep moisture away from the rear edge, where the LED and its driver sit.
